A tale of the sacred mountain

Let me know what you think of it. It's a Chinese film, but it addresses a period of Tibetan history that precedes the present political tensions between ethnic Tibetans and the Chinese government.

I had to suspend disbelief for a bit to accept that the beautiful lowland Han maidien sacrificed to the river gods was carried by the river into highland Tibet. :)

They said it happened around the mountain. It’s not as though there were no Han in Tibet in those days.

Aparently, though, there were coracles. That never occurred to me. It does make sense. Tibet has cattle, but few forests.

Such boats have a long history in the region. To my eyes, they look unstable and clumsy. I have never been in one so I could very well be wrong.
