Today I received my second Tarwar, this one made by Master Bura. My previous Tarwar was made by his apprentice, Young Sher. So I thought it would be appropriate to contrast the two of them for all of you. First, the pictures of course.
Since one is a Villager, it would not be fair to compare the fit and finish of the two. However I will do so a bit anyway. Both of them are very nicely made. Young Sher has really learned his trade well. His Tarwar feels good and looks good. They both handle perfectly and have great POB's as well. I wouldn't balk at buying any of Young Sher's swords now having compared these two. Both came sharp but needed some more sharpening to bring them to hair popping if this is what you want from a sword.
I have done some cutting with the Young Sher Tarwar and really love using it. It chopped right through the chunk of 1/2" rope I hung without a problem. It also made mincemeat out of a few pool noodles. The Bura only came today, and it started raining shortly after I started messing with it. I did have a chance though to trim some tree branches back with it and it went without a hitch. Snip-snip-snip! No problems and no edge issues either. Hopefully things will clear up tomorrow and I can do some more testing but over all I would say it will do fine.
In short, Young Sher has learned his trade well from Master Bura. Which is good news on the Kami front indeed!

Top is Young Sher's and below is Master Bura's Villager
Just Bura's Villager in hand...
Both now, Young Sher's above and Master Bura's below
