A Mike Alsdorf Teardrop Jack that is.

I just got this a few weeks back from the maker. I think it has some exceptionally nice colored and grooved bone scales. It also has a bit of boslter enhancement. Lot of jack knife in a small package here.

The fit and finish on this one is just terrific. Seamless spring fit in all blade positions. Perfect centering, and smooth but assertive action. At a bit over 3" closed, it makes a nice edc, with traditional class.

Hope you enjoy the pics. Those of you that have knives by Mike Alsdorf, and want to show them here, please do.

Sweet knife, Ford.

That's a nice looking little knife, perfect size to carry every day. I really like the jigging Mike Alsdorf does.

This one is similar to yours, Ford, but with a little different blade shape. I like the bolster enhancement on yours. Funny how a little something like that seems to really make difference in the look of a knife. I'm not crazy about bolsters that are fully engraved but a fluted bolster or just a subtle touch are really nice.

I feel your pain Elliott. :D

Rob, that's a nice one. I like that spear blade too.

Mike, I don't think Mr. Alsdorf has been making a lot lately. I lucked into this one.

Better get your blackeye peas soakin' boys (don't forget the hamhock). :)

This one is just a tad under 3 5/8" closed and right at 6 1/2" open. I'm looking forward to getting some more of Mike's work soon. Superior fit and finish:thumbup: I've noticed too that Mike's work has been "underappreciated" on here recently. Mike's knives fall in a slightly different category than most custom slips we see, nevertheless the craftsmanship is unbelievable and I expect we'll be seeing more of Mike's work soon. You get a lot of bang for buck from Mike, and I dare say that no one matches him for fit and finish in a similar price range.

Well said Durwood. That is a fine looking trapper. I'd like to see him make more of the 3.5"(and up) traditional styles also.

Lovely knife....Mike's work is excellent. Precise fit and his grinds are perfect. That little bit of decoration really sets the knife off. I'd love to see a few more patterns from him. Perhaps a Peanut :)

Nice looking knife for sure. The F&F appear to be very good and I like the color and jigging of the bone. Does the maker call that a teardrop? It looks like it has more of a sleeveboard shape than a teardrop shape.
