Well everyone pretty much knows about our esteemed member "Primble" if they don't they just haven't been on the boards recently?

His input/insight, humor and outstanding pictures are appreciated by all who come across his posts. His EPIC GAW, which set the bar for others to try and emulate:o:D

His AMAZING "JOHN PRIMBLE" display and knives and now his Boker Display case which we will all witness as it comes to fruition:thumbup:

Here's the Thank you for a Thank you part;) I sent Primble a "Primble Barlow" why would I not as it clearly had his name on it:p Primble simply stated after I asked for his address for me to print my address clearly so the traditional coin exchange could take place---something sound a little suspicious there?:)

You know the gears are turning as he usually has something up his sleeve---I have referred to him as having magical powers our something of the like.

So I now "Thank You" Primble for your "Thank You" to me. A Coin huh? that's all one expects if one adheres to the coin exchange tradition. So after a long cold muddy day spent outside I retrieve the mail and here's a priority box from Primble---a bit big for a coin no doubt.

I received in addition to a "Kentucky" Quarter---how appropriate by the way;) A very Sincere "Thank You" note from Primble but inside is a KNIFE!!! and not just one knife but TWO knives!!!

I admired his Scout in an earlier post so Primble sends my his EO Scout with beautiful Antique Yellow jigged bone covers:thumbup: in addition to that our Mr Primble also sends a beautiful CASE Mid Folding Hunter with beautiful bone stag covers:eek::cool:

This CASE will be much used (as will the EO Scout) due to some injuries in both hands that limits mobility:thumbup:

Just take a look!!!

Both of you know how to throw down!! As was said in Dances with Wolves....."Good Trade"

Both knives are just superb but i must say that "Scout" tweeks the heart! A real gem!

Primble?.......

never heard of him :D

Seriously, here are two absolute top guys here -we all know that anyway, Paul and Primble- you guys really do "up the anti" here in Traditionals, so thank you for being the two fantastic guys that you are :thumbup:

Another fine example of "You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours", but based on trust, not advance negotiation. Very "old school", very gentlemanly, very admirable!

Could not agree more. Two prime examples of why I love this place and inspire me to be a better person. I feel honored to be here.

I was happy to send those knives to you Paul and I would feel proud to know that you carried either knife. I was delighted with the old Primble Barlow you sent me and I hoped to reciprocate those feelings which I had upon receiving that fine old knife.

An old knife that could have been made in the same era as me and with my nickname clearly stamped on the bolster. I am very proud to own that knife.

So thank you for the thank you and I thank you friend and also thank you to all of the commenters as well. :D

Well - 1890 began the John Primble ISW knives, however, the Belknap HDW.& MFG. Co. knives from 1940-64, which would fall in the era of my birth. I was talking about the Primble Barlow, but, I see where you were going with that Mr. Duncan. :grumpy::grumpy::mad::barf:
