A "thank you" from one of our best

Hello all

Months ago several of you donated khukuries to be sent into the Iraqi theatre via my brother. Today I received this letter from one of those to whom the khukuries were given. Thank you, all who gave khuks and all who sent books, soaps, and so on. Each item was a pat on the back for one of our own. Here is the letter:

Mr. Hamilton,

I want to Thank You for your very thoughtful gift and more importantly for your support. I have long been a purveyor of finely made weapons and have a very strong appreciation for all things forged from steel. I will keep it at the ready. When my days as a soldier draw near I will pass this weapon to a young and deserving warrior along with your words. Once again, my heartfelt thanks for this very special Khukuri. Please pass this to the Kami.

Side note: One of our lieutenants just got back from Afghanistan, brought me his khukuri, said, "I was glad to have this over there, but I don't feel right hanging on to it when someone else going over might need it". I tell you folks, for all the crap that's going on in the world, there's still some pretty decent people in it.
