Seeing as how it is well past Thanksgiving, I feel that this is a bit late, but what the hell. I want to say that I am truly thankful to the BladeForums community, the makers, moderators, owner and membership. As 2024 comes to a close, I have reflected back on the past year and how lucky I have been to be accepted and even embraced as a maker. Although I have been making knife-like objects for well over 20 years, I only recently obtained my own makers mark. Many of you have purchased a blade from me, and/or spread the word and allowed me to provide handmade tools to the hands of others.

Hearing from someone who receives one of my knives and comments on the design, feel, construction, ergonomics...all of this validates my labor with what remains a favorite hobby of mine. For those that do not know, knifemaking is not my livelihood in the sense that I rely on the funds to live day to day...it IS my life in that it serves as a mental health treatment to deal with PTSD issues. So for that I again say, thank you.

The fact that I have repeat customers worldwide serves to validate my sense of self worth.

To the makers who have FREELY and GENEROUSLY offered advice, critiques, criticism and even encouragement, I can't express my gratitude enough. Thank you.

Maybe it's the bourbon, and I know TL/DR, but Thank you to all and may 2025 be a good year for all!

Well said, Josh. I for one am happy to have recently supported you in your knife making endeavors and don't mind saying how much I like your work, and apparently many others do as well. (Your prior history and my own also make for it being a happy coincidence in some regards along the way.)

Another thing I enjoy about your work, aside from the splendid handles, is that they look and feel like they were made by a man and not simply a machine, (let alone CNC). Personally, I like the human touch...

Looking forward to enjoying more of your work in the coming year. And I may join you in a bourbon. I picked up some McKenna and Elijah Craig Barrel Proof the other day.

Cheers, brother.

Hey Josh,

You’re welcome. I have enjoyed our conversations and look forward to more.

Thanks for finally deciding to get a craftsman membership here! Hope it was worth it. :)

Merry Christmas, Josh.

No, Josh, thank you.

Keep them coming!

Thank you Josh! I'm just happy that my purchases can in some way help with your hobby and, most importantly, with your healing.
