Sorry if wrong area but it was hard to determine where this one actually fit in.
For your viewing pleasure; My Great Uncle Bus (Ernest) Hayden brought this one home from WWII. He later gave it to my Father and I got it from him. Bus was in the Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theater. I know he was on Guam along with other places. I believe this knife and it;'s sheath was made there.
The knife: Probably made from a leaf spring from what I can tell with some sort of Phenolic I think handle slabs. It is marked with my Uncle's name on the blade and the name Herman (maker?) on the choil. When I first got it the guard shape(s) puzzled me but it finally dawned on me. One side is a cap lifter and the other a can opener of sorts. I do not believe it to be intended for combat but more of an all round knife that could be used as such in a pinch.
