Can you have too many BM Rukus's? I pose this question because I have my 3rd one on the way to me. I have a numbered First Production Rukus, a non-numbered Rukus, and now a black bladed Rukus. Even though I'm not a big fan of serrations I think that the blade is long enough as to not be interferred with by the serrations. Also, those serrations look pretty neat on the black blade. I'm happy with the Benchmade BK-1 coating. I have a 630BK-503 that has the BK-1 coating on the entire knife and I really think it looks a lot better than the previous coating. I think the BM site calls it a poly-ceramic coating.

Waite until the serrated Skirmish comes out, then you'll have to get one of those too.

I agree on the length of blade accommodating serrations well.

If you find the RUKUS meets your needs and you like it alot, buy as many variations as you desire (a collection right there).

I often buy two or more of knives I like. 710, 806, 805, 630.

And, should your tastes change, chances are only one of the model were used and you can sell the NIB ones with less effort.

The RUKUS is growing on me :) .

I'm getting my Rukus tomorrow by UPS. I love the looks and although large, the many reviews have been generally positive. Glad you like them so much that you're getting a third. :)

I think it makes sense to own several Rukuses... or Ruki.

Benchmade is coming out with replacement scales for the OD Micarta section. They have silver G-10 or silver carbon fiber (I forget which), red wine wood, and some other options.

I saw pictures of the silver G-10 and the wine wood and they look fantastic.

Of course they are removable so you can just buy a few different sets and swap them depending on your mood, but how cool would it be to have several different-bladed Rukuses with different aftermarket scales? Very cool.

My first Rukus is supposed to come tomorrow via UPS as well.

Hey Hair, where did you see those pics as I can't wait until they become available. Silver and red winewood would/will look great!
