A Thought For a Convention Activity

Just thought I would throw this out and see what those of you who are planning on attending the convention in March think--don't know what all is planned, or if there would even be time for it: What about a convention raffle/gift exchange where everyone (or those who wish to participate) could bring a small item to contribute? We could draw numbers or pull names out of a hat to see who gets what. I'm thinking of really inexpensive items, knife/khukuri related would be best: a bottle of Tru-oil, a ceramic rod sharpener, inexpensive knives like smaller SAK's etc. Some of our more creative members could contribute handmade items. We could set a price limit, say $10. Does this sound like fun to anyone?

Can I send something for the draw? :)

Bruise, the whole idea was to do something to make those who can't attend feel really really bad. If you sent something, it would sort of defeat the purpose. (Just kidding of course;) )

Bruise-- all kidding aside, if the drawing becomes a reality, and you want to ship something in for it, we can throw your name in the hat and I will ship you whatever gets drawn in your name. So, what do shipping charges to Saudi Arabia run anyway?:)

I just wanted to ship something in to be annoying. I haven't had it made yet. Nor do I need to be put in the draw. Merely something to add to the convention. :D

I wish I was in the states, I'd love to be at the konvention.

Someday I'll make it there and hoepfully meet everyone

:(
