Most Multi-Tool sheaths have a place to mount a small EDC flashlight. Would it be valuable to discuss what we are using?

I have a small Sofirn sc01 on the keychain year-around and add a 18650 or 18350 based Armytek wizard pro during the darker months, but i carry those in my cargo pants pockets or my bags. The one that did live in an edc leather pocket organizer (diy job) was a copper reylight pineapple mini, but died on me.
I also have minimalist Petzl headlamps in my two camping kits and Olight eos i3e in my maxpedition micro edc kits. But i don't really carry those every day, they live in my back pack and shoulder bags.
I did order the newest maxpedition pico and platy hoping they will fit in a pocket, so i can have something that's always on me. They are still in the mail.

In terms of what I mostly pocket carry, I have a brass Peak Eiger neutral white.
(Or my Zebralight SC53c.)

Lately,my bright orange Skilhunt M150 (3000K Nichia 519) has been competing for pocket space.

As a minimalist, my keychain flashlight for many years was the humble Fenix E01. simple, rugged, and ball peen hammer reliable. Gave enough light to see the way to the breaker panel, or find something under the car seat at night, or see enough not to trip over a tree root in the woods at night. had one last for years, then I thought it had gotten lost. Got the Fenix replacement, the E01.20 or something like that. Used the ever loving dog poo pout of it and it's still on my keyring now after several years. Three levels of brightness, and same simple construction of the old E01. Love it so much I bought two spares and one for the wife's keyring. I'm a big fan of keyring size tools.

For a bigger light I use the AA Magalight LED. Good light, very rugged construction and makes a good Kuboton. Wife has one in her purse.

To the moderator, would you please merge this thread with the thread mentioned above. 🙏

For the past few years, it's been a Nitecore EC11, for me. I load it with a Fenix ALB-16-700UP, and keep a CR123A in my EDC pouch in a ziploc baggie as backup.

Olight I1R2 eos, excellent keychain light, using one 6 years...no problems, light and easy to carry on keychain.

I’ve been carrying a Streamlight Stylus Pro for the last 10 or 12 years. I’m on my second one, replacing the original about 3 years ago or so. I use it at home and at work, it’s always on me. I like it enough I’ve never bothered to look for anything different.

I am a huge fan of the NiteCore EDC and Key Chain series. I have a Keychain Nitecore TINI 3 and a Nite TIP3 on keychains. Each can illuminate my entire backyard and fit in the palm of your hand. The ultimate one I have is the Nitecore EDC 37. It can be set for 15, 100, 400, and 1500 Lumens; it has 2 turbo settings of 4,000 and 8,000. These last 2 settings are only for a very short time and use an automatic thermal timer to shut them down so the flashlight does not burn up. These last 2 settings with the high-speed flashing are used by law enforcement to blast the night vision out of perps..

I'm not really a flashlight geek but I'm a lifelong fan of Surefire. They represent old-school American customer service and have always had my back.

When I used a Minimus in an outdoor shower for almost two years they replaced all the worn parts for free, and I'm still using it 15 years later.

I hope they release something new in this category, like a single cr123a clicky, I'll be first to buy.

+1 on the Fenix. I have had one in my pocket everyday since Hurricane Irma in 2017. Just enough light to get by. Small, about 2 1/2" long, weighs practically nothing. AAA battery and cost less than 20 bucks. I have 2. I probably use it at least once everyday at work or at home. There are many choices, but this works for me. I do have one of the newer 2 D cell MagLites in my jeep now. Pretty nice. Bought my wife one and she loves it.

I carried one of two Maratac AAA lights for 14 years but for the last 6 weeks or so I have been trying out this Rovyvon Aroura A1. Both the Maratacs and the Rovyvon have things I like and dislike about them but the Rovyvon hasn’t left my key chain yet so I guess I think it’s okay.

I used this Surefire Backup MV almost daily at my former workplace but it’s pretty much retired now just like me. The thing totally rocks! We had an offsite warehouse with very poor lighting and some very dark corners. This light made finding the part numbers I was looking for a breeze. Kick ass light. If there’s anything I regret about retiring, it’s that I don’t have much use for this light anymore. I miss using it.
