Considering what has transpired today,I think maybe knifemakers would do well to dust off those old fighter patterns. What do you think.

I had already started thinking about a less expensive fighting Bowie...Heck the gas prices here have went from $1.49 per gallon to $5.00 per gallon since noon.I will have to be watching my gas tank close for thieves....

Holy $hit Bruce! $5.00/gallon? Are you serious? I heard that gas prices would go up tomorrow but that is outrageous! Cannot believe the events of today and I've been watching nonstop since 9AM. God Bless the poor victims!

Luckily the local government has stepped in and stated that they would not tolerate any price gouging and that they would prosecute anybody caught doing it.Yes they were already going to raise the gas .11 and that is all that will be alowed.Heck you couldn't get into a gas station today as people were rushing to beat the price mark up.I think everybody was basicaly scared....It was taking at least 30 minutes or longer to get through the lines at the stations that were all backed up out into the streets.

Profiteering off the misfortune of others must not be tolerated!

These bastids need to be strung up & horse whipped (and they woulld have been had they pulled this kinda crap after the attack on Pearl Harbor 12/07/1941).

Something to be ready for at the next show you go to...
Where we used to hear "Is that O.J.s knife?" we're now going to hear things like "What knife would you suggest to take over a plane?"
Don't be surprized. It will happen. Don't give them the satisfaction of a reaction, just give them a box cutter and tell them to move on. Charge them five bucks for it, too. They need to be at least financially Darwined.
I started coming up with fighter designs just like everyone else, but I think trends are going to turn against us, and especially fighters, in the short term.
Hopefully the least of our problems. I'm more worried about what the lawmakers will do than the schmuck on the street with a penchant for low humor.

I read that ALL knives will be banned from airplanes in the future. I think that's a mistake. A terrorist can always sneak some sort of knife aboard and the good guys won't have a weapon. I'd feel safer with a nice tactical folder in my pocket. If a few airline passengers were carrying one on Tuesday, maybe they could have prevented some of the disaster. Apparently the passengers on one plane fought back and caused the crash in Pennsylvania.

At the very least, the crew should be armed.

I dont care about dumb sh*ts at knife shows,or for the moment ,what can be carried on airplanes. The idea was ,if this war goes big time,I think that the troops will need/want good handmade fighters, that was all.

I agree with you on the knives for service. A good custom for you or your neighbors son or daughter in the time of conflict, could be a great moral booster in a time of need.
My son is in the Marines in San Diego and he had been limited to a 3" blade to carry. He has a Randall #1 and my 5" bowie in his closet. If it doesn't make him feel better, it does me.

Raker I agree with you I made my first knife because I was standing by as an active U.S. Marine for Desert Storm. In times of peace the Corps tells young Marines like your son they can only carry that 3" blade but I guarentee you if he goes no one, including his sergants, will bat an eyelash when he packs his battle blades in his sea bag to go.

I have stepped up my production in case any of the Cops that I work with in the Reserves need a good fighter to go on a float or a flight.

God bless America and us all.
