A tool for camping with my kid

So, I have been reading up qute a bit lately on larger knives for use on treks/campingtrips/fishing expeditions with my 12 year year old kid.
It is important to me to show him what nature is all about, and all the wonderful times that can be had while out in the woods and on the mountains up here in Norway.

I have finally mde my descicion, and would like to say thanks to all contributing on this forum for providing such a great venue for all the info one could ever need!

Here is what should be sent me in 4-14(!) weeks:

Hopefully it will be all I hope it is.
I will use it for woods for our fires, chopping down bush when needed and basically all such a tool will do while out and about:)
 
Birnando, I think you have made a superb decision! Most people work their way through several lower quality knives before they come to the realization that it is worth it to buy the absolute best and have it for your lifetime and future generations.

Congrats on picking a great blade. It will be very useful for you and one of the toughest knives you could pick. I'll bet your son and you will have a great time camping and fishing with it along. Its always great to make memories with kids in the outdoors.

I just received my second Chuddy Bear sheath a couple weeks ago. Even though this one wasn't my first, I was still stunned by the quality of the product Chuck puts out. In my opinion, the sheath will serve you just as well as your Battle Mistress. Wise decisions on both fronts, and welcome to the trough!

Great choice! :thumbup: I'm willing to bet that your son will be ecstatic when you present it to him. Going on trips like you described were the highlight of my childhood, they always made the best memories.

Chuck is a great man to deal with, and he does top quality work. I got a black dangler from him for my FBM, and it is outstanding.
