Here's the latest Mohawk Warrior Frame-Lock that I've been working on.

(Please excuse the photo. I had some hotspots and was just too tired to realize it before the shutter went off. )

This one has an inlay of fileworked antique elephant ivory. The blade is Devin Thomas' spirograph damascus. I heat colored the screw heads gold for a touch of contrast.

The reverse side shows the hand rubbed clip with gold anodized slots and my special "traction dots."

This is the first time I've used fileword antique elephant ivory for a back spacer.

If you look closely, you'll notice that the inlay on the front side of the frame protrudes slightly for enhanced grip.

I guess with the .192" thick titanium frame scales, you could call this one "tough art." :D

Anyways, I hope you like it! :)

Tom, fabulous!!!love the blade style and that stuff Devin makes is incredable...I think you have maxed the contrast, form, & funtion quotient for the month...Happy Holidays !!!

Wow, an ivory spacer! That is quite rare. This is another wonderful knife. Something else that would look great as an inlay in this design would be abalone and blacklip pearl.

This is quickly becoming my favorite locking folder design. I just love the lines.

Very, very nice knife Tom. It is a real eye catcher. And your photo's are great too! It's the next best thing to being able to hold the knife. Really think those traction dots are kkooolll to!!

Regards

Thanks, Tony! :)

I just happened on the "traction dots" a few years ago while experimenting with different cutters on my bench mill. I hadn't used them extensively until I started developing these frame locks.

That truly is a gorgeous knife.., and I don't believe I've ever seen exotic ivory used in that fashion (backs spacer)..., very flowing look....
