I was looking through some of my old magazines and found this article on Ernie and his knives in the December 1990 Blade. Thought you guys might enjoy seeing the pics. Wonder where these knives are now?
Here's the first page:

Ah Baby! Now in my opinion those are sweet! These are what Jackstraw, for lack of a better term has coined the term "Pre-tacticalls", or "Pre-tacs" for short.

In person, these knives show off Ernies true skill and artistry. These are the knives that I have the most interest in, and are the most difficult to locate.

Anyone locating any of these would be wise to attempt a purchase of them or I'd always appreciate being referred to the seller as a buyer of them.

Thanks for the treat Dave. What a super article. Aren't those beauties though? Just one question...where are they now? I want them badly.

Leo: Thanks! I really enjoy these beauties! You've got to actually hold one to be able to fully enjoy the workmanship that goes into these knives. I'm sure Jackstraw would readily agree.

Dave,
Thanks for sharing. Had'nt seen that article.
I appreciate it.

Don,
The Knife was a VINDICATOR and your right.
I asked Ernie about that several years back and he said he was'nt happy w/ that Moniker for the knife and I frankly don't blame him either. Privatley we can all appreciate a sense of humor, publically not the best decision to make. His truth not mine.

The cavity and evisceration it caused was really something heh ! A wake up call indeed ! Vu really flows w/ some of those patterns heh !

Awesome find. I had not seen the article either. Check the young Ernie. LOL
