It supposedly is stabilized. The specs for both Kepharts is 8 1/2" oal, 4" blade, 3/16" thick. A customer who saw my ad in Backwoodsman ordered the pair.

That tulipwood is niiiiiiice ! I'm going to quote mtnfolkmike: "it reminds me of bacon" :)

Glad to see the Backwoodsman adverts bringing in some custom.

All three knives look great, but I'm really impressed with the way that the tulipwood turned out. Is it a dense wood to work with?

All the best,

- Mike

All shipped today, along with mqqn`s Kephart.

Wooo hooooo!!!!!!
 :D  :D

I showed the picture to Maggie - she is excited to see it in person too!

It will be mostly used just in our kitchen, so she will get to use it a lot!

thanks for shipping it so quickly!

It seems pretty dense, I used to use it a lot, but have not got too many orders for it lately.

Hi Stomper -

You bet!

I will be trying out my new "daylight" bulbs that I bought for indoor photography, so I'll be taking a few shots of my Kephart when it arrives!!

Hey Stomper, You did a beautiful job on the two kepharts for me! It's great being able to see the one you sent to Teddy. That was his Christmas present, a little late! Ha! Ha! I just can't tell you how impressed I am with my new knife! I must have taken it out of the sheath fifty time yesterday after it got here. I was looking at it, and holding it! It really feels great in my hand! I just love the tulipwood, and the way it turned out! I can't wait to get outside with it, if the weather ever straightens out for us. Right now I have about fourteen inches of snow to deal with. Wow, you do good work Buddy! Be sure to let the people at Backwoodsman know that their subscribers are sending you work, the next time you renew your Ad! I love the knife and I will drop a note to the Backwoodsman when I have a chance too! Thanks again, and take care. I hope to see you in May! Frontiertom

After 5 1/2 years I got you to make your first post! Damn, I`m good. ;) It was a pleasure making them for you, it`s my favorite model. Tell Teddy he can come in May too.

Well, it is hard to stay off here when you have had something so beautiful and functional made for you by such a craftsman! Yes, you are good! This is the first chance I have had to get back on this website since I posted the first time! I have been on here all morning looking over all the old and new posts! I have jumped in with my two cents worth where I could. This website could get habit forming, you know? I have really enjoyed it! I'll be in touch soon!
