I took a little trip out to the Columbia River last weekend, near Quincy, WA
(Warning though, I left the photos at 1000 pixel width, so if you're on dial-up it may not be worth the wait)

Just scroll down once you get there. THREE PAGES - THERE'S LINK TO THE NEXT PAGE BELOW THE LAST PIC ON EACH PAGE

These trips really recharge my batteries. The only problem with dayhiking, is that I want to stay the night.

That's the first time I've seen anyone here post pics of buffalo. I've always thought that strange for a forum with such an abundance of Americans. Peachy.

Great daytrip there! I haven't seen too many buffalo in WA either. Seem to be more common on the Montana farms.

Great pics. I'm heading out towards the Columbia Wildlife Refuge near Othello this weekend. That's were we go to get out of Dodge.

BTW, stop off at Tacos Jalisco in Quincy nect Time out. It's on "C" St. Good authentic food. There is also a Mexican bakery/tortilleria adjacent that has good churros for desert.

what was with the Micky D's cup?

I kind of had the same thought? My wife is addicted to their fountain pop - makes me stop by the drive through just to buy a diet coke. I hate doing that - and refuse to eat the food there.

Great pics overall though. I really like all those rattlers - very cool!

Nice area. Those rattlesnakes have very vivid markings, the ones I see around here are a little more muted.

Quite excited, of course the big worry is which blade(s) to take, always a problem, as I have several new creations that need field testing.

Some of those trees look like Osage Orange. Like the one with the horseshoes. Are they?
