I carried a 18 Crutchtip in Vietnam...they didn't have the screw-in caps then. And despite the inherent weakness of the rubber cap, it proved to be nearly indestructable and was my daily and constant companion. given the ability to store "things" securely in the handle plus the long-since proven quality of Randall's, I have nothing but good things to say about it....I keep watching the various threads about "if you could only have one knife"....and each time, despite my fairly significant accumulation of all kinds of knives, my mind immediately answers: "A RMK MODEL 18"!!

How was the round aluminim handle? Did it "turn" in the hand? I've held them & played w/ them at shows a couple of times & they look solid, but I was wondering about the blade becoming disoriented w/ the round handle.
