I`ve got a few hours while the blades I heat treated this morning are tempering, so I thought I would tell what a typical day at JK Handmade Knives is like. I usually get up between 2:00 am and 2:30 am each day. I make the coffee before my wife gets up to go to work (usually 4 days a week). She leaves at 3:30. After she leaves, I answer any emails that came overnight, then come here to BF. After that I go to the basement to work on sheaths untill 6:00. At 6:00 I usually go to the shop to start working. I try to make a point of coming every hour or so to check my mail. I usually quit about 3:00 pm.

Wow!How many orders do you currently have on the books pending?
If it's Top Secret disregard this question.

4 in process, and 32 on the books. I`m scheduling February now. I just hope it keeps up!

Mines one of the ones in process, right stomper :-). Just kiddin, but i can't wait to unwrap it on christmas! It sadly isn't getting sent to my place.

Mines a Christmas present too (unless I intercept it-covertly use it and rewrap it!)

Both of yours are scheduled (barring any emergencies) to ship by December 11th, a little earlier than I promised. Of course, I will be sure to post pics just to tease you. ;) I`m kind of like Santa, I`m old (56), a bit overweight (6' 2", 220 lbs), and my beard is getting a bit long.

Here are the heat treated blades from this morning. From the top, Nexus, Kephart HD, Kephart, and C Bryant`s contest winning knife.

I have a couple more orders for you after Xmas in addition to the serial Kep I ordered. =8^D
One for my son, and one for my Dad I have in mind.

Oooohhhh...C Bryant's design is shaping up into a nice little knife. And that Nexus is a work of pure genius. :)
