It's not exactly a new knife, or a solar still. BUT!!!! A good hot sauce put any bad situation in perspective!!:p ;)
 
I like taking hot peppers with me on my camp outs. They add not only zing but flavor to my otherwise bland soups, camas cakes, cattail breads, etc.

I took some stone-ground "chile de arbol" on the primitive gathering campout last month and forgot to wash my hands after adding several pinches to my soup. The oils got transferred to my face when I rubbed my eyes and I got burned. Rick thought it was pretty funny.
 
Be glad you didn't have any biological passage requirements....

Been there, NEVER goin back....:eek: :eek: :eek:
