Worried about dropping your iPod? Getting it crushed on a Japanese commuter train? So was this person, but they did something about it! :D

I'm not sure how truly practical it is, but it appeals to me. If I could get a thinner one made of Titanium...

I found this through iPodlounge, just to give credit where credit is due. Used Babelfish for a typical surreal translation.

"When some days ago, you wander about ヤフオク, there was very sad iPod. Buying, at 2nd day, being defeated to the pressure of the commuter train, the liquid crystal cracked, big dent did to also the stainless steel case the rear. So the synchronizer of playback and Mac of tune with the notion that where, was transacted with about 10000 or 20000 it is possible."

I couldn't have put it better myself.

I don't own an iPod, but that is beautiful machining work.

Babelfish comes up with some hilarious translations, but better than nothing I suppose. I was looking at the Moki site using Babelfish the other day and where they were giving knife lengths it substituted "Steering wheel length" for what I am assuming is "Handle length." I would probably buy a knife with a steering wheel though. ;) A remote controlled "deanimater" would be pretty cool. (Maybe I shouldn't have gone down that Dark road.)
