I awoke to a stunning July 1st morning with wisps of fog slowly rising off the harbour and the filtered sunlight painting the landscape with gold and purple. Canadian flags adorned every home in sight. The coffee was hot, sweet, and light and the cinnamon roll sticky as it should be. And, I had the day to myself! Inspiration tinged with a burst of first-of-the-summer energy guided my decision to scrap the original Maple burl handle planned for this blade, instead opting to go with a Canadian theme.

Canadiana:

Blade: 5" x 5/32" of Aldo's 1084, flat ground then hand sanded to 600 grit.
Handle: Bloodwood bolsters, moose bone slabs with Bloodwood and Ash liners, and stainless steel pins.
Sheath: 6/7 oz. veg tanned leather(W&C) with an embossed stylized Sugar Maple leaf.

Here's a few photos. Please share your thoughts.

that's really nice! Hope you don't have plans to put it in the mail :)

Love the knife! My only critique is that I wouldn't have had the orange accent on the sheath run through the stitching. Looks like you over-ran the border.

Magnifique!!!
