Not exactally knife related, but if anyone can relate its the guys on this forum ( Perticulary JK) . Got a package in the mail today from a friend TPVT ( Todd) who sent a little care package to Evan. I dont want to leave anyone out as others have done the same in the past, but a few months ago things were just too hectic to get a pic or make a post. See the thing is, is the poor kid has had Chemo 6 days out of the last 8 and Everyday after chemo he has to go to the other part of the hospital to get radiation on his brain. The rest of this week is gonna be the same everyday, long days, so you can imagine between the chemo and the radiation he is truly exhausted, hungry but cant eat, feels like crap and his immunity ( ANC) is a big Fat 0 so over the holiday weekend were confined to the house as not to let Evan get sick. So when he got home tonight he tried to play in the yard for a few minutes before he was wiped out, when he came in he found a package containing a Sling shot and some other very cool goodies. First real smile weve seen in a few days now. Thanks Todd and others who have done such nice stuff for Evan. Means a lot.

This is Evans Spiderman Radiation mask. its a hard plastic mask fit to his face. They literaly bolt his head to a board and strap his legs and arms down takes 10 or 15 minutes. Its kinda hard to watch. He said the hardest part is when he has an itch, LOL.

oh man...it's posts like this that remind me how blessed i am. thanks for the kind words, but you are too gracious. i was repaying your kindness for getting me an Evangers shirt, which i now wear for my workouts.

but, with that said, i am quite happy to hear it gave him a smile. prayers sent for your boy, Joel.

Great to see a smile from Evan! Thank you for the update -

More prayers coming Evan's way -

best

very cool, Todd, thanks for sharing it Grandall

that pictures enough to make me a wreck, iris had to have an scan once and she couldn't get off the table because of the wires attached to her head, hardest part was when she just accepted it and lay there, beaten

This is the greatest bunch of people I have ever know.
Evan, although I don't say a whole lot, I can tell you that you're always in my thoughts and prayers. Keep up the fight big guy!

You don't have to tell me what a great guy Todd is,but thanks for sharing Joel, appreciate the update on Evan,he looks like he's ready to go out & nail some squirrels.

That must be frustrating for Evan (and Hanna) to not be able to run around and do "kid things". Must be even tougher as parents (and grandparents) to have to stand by and have the kids go through this, and there is nothing that you can do to make it any easier. Puts things in perspective, that even with my issues, there are others with a much more difficult battle.

Thanks for sharing Joel. Keep up the good fight!

Thanks for posting Joel. Evan has been in my daily prayers along with Hanna.

Todd, you are awesome!

I need you guys to click on the link below and check out this video of Evan. Last year he got to go to school for one day, His Birthday. He had no idea what he was walking into. You dont see it in the video cause we started taping too late but at first he was confused but once he realized the whole school had lined the halls and clapped and chanted his name he was pretty proud! He was so glad to be back! Video is kinda narrow so you may have to click on full screen. Dont forget its " Childhood Cancer Awarness Month" Thank God For the great people that surround these kids, and their parents, Like all of you!

That's a pretty awesome video! You can tell he started really getting into it with the high fives! And I love his cape.
