In the Knife Reviews and Testing forum today, I posted a review of the Cold Steel Voyager XL. The combo of my wordy prose and number of pics apparently exceeded a word count or bandwidth limit. When I tried to post the review, the software never told me that I was too wordy or had exceeded a bandwidth limit, but instead just kept timing out. Over and over.

After clearing my cookies and trying a different machine with no luck, I did figure out what the prob was and divided the review into two posts which resolved my prob. I'm sure that a less stupid person would have figured it out right off the bat, but it took me a while. Its not a biggy. Just FYI.

thanks

Richard, it was just timing out repeatedly without telling me why. I finally determined that it was my word count (or pic count?). I think the software used to tell us when we had an excessive word count, so we would know what was going on. Again, its not a biggy. Just a possible opportunity to make a small improvement.

why do I see a bunch of post that have a a bunch of words and pictures in them?? does a membership count towards how many words you can put into a post??

I've run into the character limit and gotten that message at 15,000 characters with my "Standard Reply"

It still does give the error message and allowed me to edit.
It didn't just disappear.

I think the pic limit is 5x post.
