Mike was kind enough to send me one of his fighters to have a look at.

As you all know I'm not to big of a fighter fan. In days past I'd take a scaled down Bowie (Gentlemans Bowie) over your typical fighter.

But in the last few years I've had to step up my dress code and fighter sized blades are very popular with me now

For those of you that know Mikes work he has quickly improved and does down right gorgeous work.

This piece is made of W2 and iron wood

It is a refined fighter with some wicked angles

Mike uses a weight in the pommel to balance the blade at the guard

This one does just that

The grinda are crisp and the clip long and even with a lovely wispy temper line in a style many desire

The guard is nicely proportioned and while I like a little more hips in a handle I know Mike was going for concealable

All in all a fine fighter that would complement any Gentlemans kit

Mike is a Gentleman and does exceptional work at a very fair price

Mike is going to build me one of these down the road with a black Micarta handle with a little more hips and length in the handle and the balance point about an inch up the blade instead of at the guard

Thanks for looking

Mike Craddock makes an excellent knife, I own one, and this piece Joe reviewed is sure to make whoever ultimately purchases it a happy camper.

That is a good looking fighter Mike I really like the wispy hamon and how it plays with the grind line Joe you did a fine job catching the feel of the knife.

Very nice write up Joe. I think Mike makes a great knife too.
On one hand I want him to stay under the radar, so there is less competion for his work, on the other I want him to get the recognition he deserves.
I stopped by his shop one evening with my brother in law a couple of years ago and we had a great visit, Mike
was a wonderful, sharing host. A stellar individual who does excellent work.
