Just thought I would bring this over here... hopefully not stepping on any toes. I found this note posted in Practical Tactical by Greg Walker, a very well known individual who knows his stuff.

"Jerry Busse built me a one-of-a-kind bowie to the specifications I gave in Battle Blades. One of the finest working bowies I've seen to date. It has been all over the world with a very good friend and Army Ranger since. Thailand, Kosovo, and Turkey for example. Light, fast, correct edge geometry for H2H and medium field work. Superb Busse knife."

I would love to see the knife he is talking about, but already know it could have been an SH or BM in nature... either of which would more than likely be the best knife for 'working' individuals.

Thanks for making great tools Jerry!

More from Greg...

I believe I listed the specs in "Battle Blades" from Paladin Press.

Don't have on hand here to reconfirm for accuracy but knife weight (total) was either 16 or 17 ozs., with blade length of 12" or 13"...and I'm kinda guessing here as stated.

You can contact Jerry at his website on this as he told me (at the time) it was one of the toughest designs he'd made at that point due to the size/weight requirements. However, he was successful and the knife has gone on to do great duty all over the world with my ranger buddy...to include being in Kosovo now (to my understanding).
*******

I would LOVE to hear more about this one! I also think it is great to hear a story about how one of Jerry's blades is travelling all over the world, doing the job it was made to do.

Cheers!
