What a shock. I went to my knife case and discovered my Delica 2 serrated was gone. My wife remembers taking it to work one day, but it has not been seen since. We looked everywhere, but it is not to be found. I fear the worst. It will be sorely missed.

Now a question, when ever my police model needs a good cleaning after a good week of work, I figured the easiest way was to toss it in the dishwasher. After that a little oil in the pivot and its good as new. What about my Zytel handled Endura. Can those be thrown in the dishwasher also? Thanks.

Richard

P.S. A moment of silence for my Delica 2. Lost but not forgotten.

My condolences, Richard. I know that there will be none like your original but I' d like to ease some of your pain... with an offer of some possible substitutes!(:^) Please e- mail me if interested.

Richard - Sorry for your loss. (Some one some where will thank the powers that be for their new find...good karma?) Dishwasher or hot soap and water is fine. Oil is always a welcome addition for corrosion resistance and action. I clean mine the same way. Cleaning is important to the continued functioning of any precision moving part.

The dishwasher is acceptable. I prefer hot soap and water. Takes less time and doesn't sit with water on the blade any longer than necessary.
