hi guys,
today i tried to center and fix the bad blade play that was affecting my knife but one of the screws broke and i have a headless screw inside the pivot now!!
before giving epoxy a try, i ask for your help...

- do you know if i can still send the knife to buck to have it repaired?

the knife is now very old and i doubt they still have parts for it. also i'd rather keep it and try to fix it instead of buying a new knife at a discounted price...i also live in Europe and they only accept money orders...

that leads to the second question:

- do you know where i can find a new pivot?

thank you all :(

give them a call and find out.......

Epoxy won't help. If you can get the rest of the screw out take it to a hardware store and find a replacement. If not, then take measurements of the pivot and order a new pivot and screw from a knife supply website.

Maybe Jeff H knows if pivot parts are still available

i can't take it out. i wanted to try to make a new head so i could get the rest out...
do you know some websites?

Can't link to non-site-supporting retailers but Google is your friend

I don't own a Buck Stryder 881 but it looks like there are other screws that you can take out of the scale and expose the one that is headless and maybe get a pair of vise grips on the screw that is sticking out and remove it that way? Pics would be very helpful.

thanks for the advices guys.
i've sent an email to the warranty service.
will let you know.
