Greetings to Joe Paranee and everyone viewing! I am pleased to report the arrival of a very special knife from the shop of Bill Bagwell. It all began when Bill offered to make a " Rivers and Streams" pattern damascus Bowie for me last month. You see, that has been the 'Grail' Bowie for me from the start back in 1985 when I first read about Bill's work in SWAT magazine. Bill was always backlogged filling orders and I knew that with a scrap rate of 30% and two flawed blades since that it would be unfair to ask Bill to try again. Well, he had good news last week; the billet he was building up was coming along and showed no signs of trouble. There are any number of flaws that can appear and ruin a blade, but Bill was very pleased at the way this came out, showing good pattern ,and promise of strength and keen edge. Well, Bill told me that the edge was very aggressive, more so than previous R & S patterns (yes!) The blade was done, now the guard and handle/trim remained, and since this blade came out so vital it was decided to go with iron trim and a stag handle, to make this a true working Bowie even if it did sport Bill's newest stamp and my name stamp on the trade mark side. Also the dimensions reflect what Bill would craft for some one of my build to carry into Harm's way. I knew what was in the USPS box when it got here and soon had it opened, and I was awestruck by it's handling, balance and agility, back cuts were effortless and the hiss of quick moves was especially rewarding! You really have to handle Bill's knives to see what they are all about! Typically I will send my top drawer knives to Paul Long for 'new shoes' and this one is no exception, Bill graciously crafted a matching belt stud for Paul to install on the new sheath (Big thanks!) and soon the Grail Bowie will heading out to Kerrville,Tx. Thanks for viewing, Sincerely, Bob Furusho

WOW!!!!!!!!!! Bill had been telling me about this knife the last 3 or 4 times we talked and his description did not do it justice.

One of the best bowies you have shared Bob. I can't wait to see more pics of it.

I'm getting set to call Bill in the next week hopefully to get on the list again. I'm wanting a stag HB this time and i aim to make it my user:thumbup:

Joe,

Bob,

Win/Win for you, SO NICE !!

That might ... just might ... be my very favorite HB. And given how much I love the HB, that's saying something!!
