Hey guys. I was lucky enough at the USN gathering in Vegas this last weekend to pick up one of these special CQC-7V's. Ernie made 20 of these and 20 CQC-7's with a flipper. This one has toxic green cerakoted liners and a special clip. This one is number 0016 of 20, check it out......

Lmao tough crowd. I'm not gonna lie I thought you're 7 looked stupendous! I still do! But you mentioned the flipper...kinda stole the show lol.

I regret not getting the 7V, but I did get the flipper :) and it's awesome.

Did anyone see the custom cqc-6 with a flipper? Looks different, and the flipper provides great hand protection from slipping up on the blade when the knife is open.

I didn't get to go. Is Ernie gonna be playing around with flippers more do you think?

^^Given the way things are looking, yes. I do hope that Emerson strays away from the large shark fin flipper. Preferably something more inline with the knife's handle shape/size and doesn't look like a click & paste design thing from one on to many. Flipper on the 7 and the 6 are huge, more so than the Sheepdog in the pics though I would love to see a comparison pic. If Emerson can design different shape Waves on different knives, why not the flipper.

I love those green liners a very cool knife you got there. Congrats!

But the flipper looks unbalanced, imo.

I personally like the larger flipper design, as opposed to something thinner like the Hinderer. If anything, I'd love to see a flipper tab from say, the ZT 0750 on an Emerson.
