Hi,
I have a 112 that I've been trying to figure out, I wish I knew how to post pictures , It is a 2012 112 with a lot of the brass somehow removed, the handles were either removed and put back on with a adhesive , or what I think because the inlay rivet holes never matched the frame holes, they are just some laminate handles that were put on with a adhesive, one side is black the other is brown they look like some type of Buck Diamondwood they still had the inlay pin holes but they didn't pass thru the frame, the tang is what is very different and had to be done by someone that knew what they were doing, it's polished to a hi shine where it's inside the frame, the remaining tang has a normal finish, it has a large kick it's at about a 15 degree angle to the blade edge it ends and a choil is cut out between the kick and blade edge this was done by someone who had good tools and knew how to use them. The remaining blade is new and has it's normal luster, it seems like it was done for the purpose to keep the tang hidden in the frame when the knife was open, the front bolster is smaller than a regular 112, and it looks like a regular tang would come out of the frame when the knife was open, the rocker rivet shows on both sides it's stainless and it is flush and shiny. The job was aborted before the rear bolster was finished ,it had grind or file marks where someone was taking off brass, the butt was flattened, and the top of the rear bolster was flattened at a bad angle that's the only place on the knife that was left with deep grind marks someone hit the butt pin on one side and quit. The front hook of the rocker bar looks big or tall I only have old 112's and yellowhorse's to use for comparison it's about 1/16" taller compared to them if I open both knives half way or to get the most rocker bar exposed and lay the backs together, it's a mystery to me, I was just going to use it as a pocket carry knife but I changed my mind after a good look. Thanks George God bless
