I know this knife is not for everyone, and they dont really show up for sale that often anymore, but I currently have 3 of these bad boys, and I just cant help but love them, even though there are a few things that are no so great. Introduce the Benchmade 420 resistor, Snody design. If ya'll have ever held one, I am sure that you have already formed your own opinion, but I love this thing. I have hands the size of country hams and it fills the palm VERY well. I normally hate serrations, but benchmade has a pattern that is fairly easy to touch up, and when I know I will be needing a serrated blade, this guy rides shotgun every single time. The aluminium scales are wide, and add the g10 overlays and somebody better call greenpeace, because this thing is a beached whale. If you rub against anything, it will catch the clip so hard, it will almost pull your pants off; and if you sit down, it is very obvious that you have a big chunk of cutting utility in your pocket. On the other hand though, every one I have touched is buttery smooth with a rock solid lock up, when they come up for sale on the forum they are very reasonably priced, and they are "dreamy" in the hand for extended cutting tasks. Also, the are freakin' TOUGH!! Two of them are my only loaner knives, and they are always returned worse for wear but the 154cm is easily serviceable.

All I can say is, if you ever get a chance to pick one up...Its well worth giving it a go. Like I said, opinions are like....belly buttons, everybody has one.

And of course, this thread is worthless without pics...

Very cool. I love the Snody designed benchmade's, hopefully I'll find one for a good price at some point (I'm sure I'll find a couple for a good price, when I don't have any money to spend haha). I do have a question, is the pivot screw hollow? It looks like it's just threaded into a collar (think ZT 0200/030X series knives).

I think it is just as you suspected just by looking. They are the only knives I have owned that I have never taken apart.

Kershaw OD-1. Really neat flipper design, just big enough, but slim in tighter pants pockets. Also not scary for the sheeple.

Very cool looking Benchmade. I have never seen one in person and only seen a few pics. Unique and interesting design.

I had an od1 but gave it to a co worker who was in need of a decent blade. Sweet knife though.

I prefer the Gravitator as far as the Snody Benchmades go. The Resistor is too chunky for me.

I have the Snody 4200 which is the auto version of this knife, it is a cool design and cool blade.

By the way, if anyone wants to send me some trade offers for it PM or email me.

Very nice. I've never seen one in person but it sounds like a winner. I will have to keep an eye out for one on the exchange.

I don't think the Benchmade 940 gets half the credit it deserves. Kind of the be all end all EDC for me...

I agree that the 940 is an excellent edc knife. I have owned 4 of them over the past several months but always end up selling or trading them off. I just never got around to carrying them. I actually just shipped the last one out last friday as my hinderer wharnie from the lottery has been getting most of the pocket time since it came in.

Got to say that is the least douchie looking Snody I've seen. Not a single dollar sign on it I'm surprised. His stuff usually looks so asinine.

Even so that is by far the most 'mall ninja' Benchmade I've seen.
