  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

A very, very good knife day :)

And the start of my reborn collection, thanks to some help from fellow BF members. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1393360334.032188.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1393360358.177150.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1393360380.775949.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1393360398.737389.jpg

Would love to procure a Hoback A8 someday but for the time being they are financially out of reach. Nice looking knives, lawfor, congrats!

Yeah. Very expensive and hard to find even if you have the funds. I got lucky on this one.

Ah. I was a long-time collector and met a woman who hated knives and was scared to have so many in the house. I think she assumed anyone who collected knives was secretly some kind of serial killer (kidding, sort of). I sold off my collection but now that I am single, am back in touch with this hobby I love.

Kind of a bitter-sweet situation, sounds like. Well best of luck to you going forward. Enjoy your new knives!

I hope she was worth it... although, I'd have a REAL hard time - make that an IMPOSSIBLE time - being with a woman who didn't at least tolerate my knives and firearms.

Case in point: when I was much younger, I was engaged to a very pretty young girl who didn't like knives or guns (she was actually afraid of these inanimate objects, especially the guns). Long story short, about 1 month before the big day, she gave me an ultimatum: She said, "It's either me or the guns - choose." My reply was, "Would you like me to help you pack?" Best (and easiest) decision I have ever made!

Welcome home, brother!

Love it!

My ex-wife used to give me the devil of a time with my knife obsession, errrr, hobby :D Well can I recall the day she confronted me after a relatively significant knife purchase $$$-wise...declaring "How COULD you spend money on ANOTHER new knife when we need a new washer?" I replied "Because, dear, a washer is to heavy to EDC".

Needless to say, I am a bachelor again....:p

Better to have the fight once rather than for the rest of your life. I really think the divorce rate has a lot to do with people kidding themselves about what they can deal with for the rest of their lives.

Agreed. Some compromise is a given but when you have to give up things you really enjoy, it's a formula for eventual unhappiness
