I was not planning on adding anything, in fact I sold a few of my grails to save some ... then by pure chance I went on to check one of the usual sites ... and there was this crazy beauty smiling back at me, NOS from 2008 .. brand spanking new ... obviously there was no fighting it ... I wasn't even supposed to be home ...

As my friend Dennis said, the "right time, right place" of the century!

I knew the "in hand" pics would be far superior to the already gorgeous pics on the dealer site! In the pursuit of a great score ..... you scored big time my friend!!! Congrats!
 
Holy crap that is beautiful. Congrats on that score I dont think anybody would have turned that one down.
 
This is easily one of the nicest mammoth mnandi I have ever seen. Congrats on an excellent score...!!!

Here's Travis' (conservative) picture. A little bit of light from the right angle makes it explode and brings out some incredible hues.

Thanks guys! This was one of those things that never happen to me ... I was supposed to go out but it rained quite a bit so we decided to stay ... I killed some time taking pictures of a B+W blade for Dennis and since I was at it, browsed Travis' site (he usually has interesting stuff). I would not have gotten close to a computer otherwise. Anyway, I had ZERO intentions of buying anything ... but all of a sudden in all her improbable glory, there she was ... a complete blast from the past ... I had to triple check to make sure I was not hallucinating ... It was a very agonizing nanosecond until I hit "add to cart" ... it couldn't possibly be right ... but lo and behold ... she arrived yesterday.

I thought that I was partial to the clean pure white ivory but this beauty has me rethinking that perspective. Thank you for sharing it with us and congrats on getting such a stunning piece for your collection.
