A Veterans Day Salute to Veterans

Thank you for all your service.
We are forever grateful
You risked your lives
For other peoples' moms, children and wives.
Our country is still a democracy
Because you fought for liberty
Wanting the red, white and blue to be free
Never thinking of yourself.
But for everybody else
That's why we salute thee,
The ones who saved our country.
We thank you and wish you a special Veterans' Day.

Thomas, thank you for showing that appreciation for service still happens to our up and coming generations.



Take a moment today to thank the people who have given us the ability to maintain and enjoy our freedom. Their willingness to put theirs on the line for ours is too often overlooked and taken for granted.

Thank you to all current and past warriors.
 
I, too, give a great big thanks and salute to all our Veterans today! Past and present!!!

In honor of all who have served, the Busse Combat Shop will be closed this afternoon.

Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have served and with the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Well said everyone - I too salute our brave soldiers with a special prayer for all those who we lost in Iraq last week and thier families. Also a salute to Art Carney (tv's Ed Norton) who passed today and who so bravely served our country in the D-Day invasion and brought freedom to millions as our soldiers still do today.
 
Happy Veteran's Day to all veterans and those currently serving in the military! Thank you for your service, and God bless you!
