Wanting to give credit where credit is due, I hereby salute arizonaranchman, blueridgemountains, harronek, and 5K Qs for providing the inspiration for this thread. :D

Pictured are my Electrician Plus, Electrician, Farmer, and Pioneer. (Sorry for the lousy pic … nighttime and all).

I'm guessing many of you might remember the old song, "Torn Between Two Lovers". Well that's how I sometimes feel about these knives.

I really, really like the small electricians blade. I never need a can opener, but the small screwdriver sure comes in handy.

Don't always need the saw, but it too is very handy and I find myself using it more than I might have imagined prior to having one.

Three layer vs two layer isn't really an issue for carrying - I hardly notice the difference in my pocket. Three layer feels better in hand to me.

Minor point: A SAK should be RED. ;)

So, what's the solution or answer to the dilemma of "being torn"? Darned if I know, but for the past few months it's been either the Electrician or Electrician Plus that's found its way into my pocket.

Bottom line: Choice is good and it's hard to beat ANY of the Alox SAK's!

The electrician plus is my grail knife when it comes to saks. It's got the saw which I love and the blade configurations are perfect, I still need to get one but one day the stars will align. I used my sak to save the day with moving a shower rack this morning.

SAK Guy ….. I should've known you, of all people, would have some nice Electricians! My hat is off to you! Thanks for posting them.

Student762 I just looked around and it appears the Electrician Plus is kinda hard to come by these days. I had no idea. Probably not as hard to get as SAK Guy's though! ;)

Thank you! coyote711, you have some awesome ALOX as well...love that Electrician Plus!!!!`Those are quite hard to find and expensive too.

Student762, if you want one to use (vs. collecting an orig), the quickest way is probably to have a custom built.

You guys have no idea how much I want one of those Electrician Plus knives .
I wonder how hard it is to put the Sheepsfoot blade into a farmer , my Grey Bianco Farmer with a blade instead of the bottle opener would just " Sing "

You have some fabulous alox specimens, coyote!:thumbup:
And I agree with you that a SAK should be red, but so far, i'm unwilling to
give up an arm and a leg to get red alox. :(:D
I also agree with Student762 and Ken that getting an Electrician Plus would be a cause for great rejoicing, if I were ever that fortunate! :D
Maybe I should stop dreaming, exercise some willpower, save up some funds, and follow SAK Guy's wise advice to get a custom built to my own specifications. Yeah, that's the ticket! :p

I love to see a scratched up blade from use and sharpening. It's a sign that knife has been valuable and trusted friend someone.

Why, why , why won't they do a run of knives without the curved cutout in the otherwise perfect Sheepsfoot blade ?
