I've been working on a series of videos about wild edible and medicinal plants, and I thought I should do an introduction about general gathering guidelines and tips.

I hope y'all find it informative!

Nice video. Edible and useful plants have always been an interest of mine. It's amazing what you can find out there when you really start looking

All very good info. Thank you for the video, I hope to see more posts from you here.

Not everyone here can get videos, so pictures and text are very much appreciated as well.

Thank you for posting, I subscribed!:thumbup:

Thanks for posting this. I've subscribed on youtube. Edible plants outside of where I live are a big hole in my knowledge base.

Very nice. The only wild green plant I ever ate was lambs quarter.I use to pick it with my grandma when I was about five some 47 years ago. She called it wild spinach.

That was very good ,and you did a great job on it.

Please post more of them when you can.

Glad you all are finding it helpful! And thanks for the feedback.

Good stuff, be sure to let us know when you make more !

I wonder if one of these is worth adding to our kits if we are heading out for wild edibles ?

Hmm, that looks pretty cool, I would imagine it would depend on the kind of soil in your area. Digging through clay (that is everywhere here) I would be worried about accidentally cutting through the root you're trying to dig out. Trying to get a burdock root out of clay soil after you've cut the top off is next to impossible. It'd probably work well with loose or sandy soil though.
