Hey guys!
I was lucky enough over the weekend to spend a bunch of time at the Canadian Knifemakers Guild Show here in Toronto! This was actually the first knife show that I've ever been able to attend, so it was a bit of a special event for me.

I got to meet a lot of awesome people, both makers and buyers, as well as getting hands-on with some incredible knives from around the world. The quality of the work was pretty amazing, and it's a humbling experience as a maker to see in person what other makers are turning out!

I think my favourite knife from the show was actually Des Horn's EDC knife. It's a super-minimal liner-lock with carbon fibre handles and a crazy thing RWL34 blade, really beautiful little knife.

There were a couple of knives I would have loved to have bought, but my money is all earmarked for workshop expenses at the moment, so I had to just daydream :)

Hope you guys enjoy the video!

It's probably a good thing that I didn't get to that show. Saw some beautiful knives that I would have liked to take home...
Thanks for the tour. Now I know what you guys up there do during those long winters.

Too awesome Aaron; I believe I saw you there on Saturday... ;):D:thumbup:

Do you mind if I post two pics of what I got from the show here?

Thanks,
Evan

Hey Evan!
Sorry we didn't get the chance to meet! I was only there for a little bit on Saturday as I had promised I would film a friend's wedding that day as well.

Please by all means post your photos! Would love to see them!

Thanks Aaron and hopefully we can connect in future.:)

I scored two knives from Steve Vanderkolff (you featured his table early in the video); the first knife is 440C, tapered tang with Whale Baleen handle slabs, the second is a San Mai White steel blade with brass jeweled liners, and mammoth handles slabs.

Ah! So you're the one that scored that baleen handled dagger! I had my eye on that one too! :)

Both very good looking knives!

Is the Toronto show opened to the public?

Yep, sure is! I believe the entry fee was $10.

Wonderful video.

Thanks mate!

Thanks,outstanding.

Cheers!

Yeah there were at least a couple there that I would have loved to have taken with me. But the workshop is an expensive mistress! :)

Aaron.

The #450 is a great knife from Des.
