a visit to Old Fort Niagra

I've been in Ny about 9yrs now and there are still a couple of places that I want to visit so this weekend we took a trip to Old Fort Niagra in Youngstown,NYhttp://oldfortniagara.org/.Old Fort Niagra was originally a French outpost,the British took it from them in 1759 and we finally got it from the British in the war of 1812.This past weekend they were reenacting the battle between the French and British that was fought 250yrs ago in July of 1759.I'm not much into the reenacting part,to me it gets to commercial and romanticized but it's always a learning experience,here are a few pictures,I have more at Flickr and will be putting more on there later today if anyone is interested.http://www.flickr.com/photos/beau5278/
