I decided to go for a walk in the woods with a buddy of mine from the 82nd Airborne and take photos of some random stuff. I've left out the photos of him (he's camera shy) and edited as necessary. Nothing shocking or new; just a nice walk in the woods.

My ugly self...

We wanted to be weird and throw two of our knives into a tree. Here's the target tree...

I had a few problems with the Marble's Bolo Machete, but it stuck...

After a few minutes, I got the hang of it...

Identifying plants is necessary for the woods. We didn't eat these...

If you remember my Huntin' N' Killin' thread from a few months back, you remember the deer that I left to naturally decompose. Here's his scapula (shoulder bone)...

I'll post up how to make some tools and weapons out of these later...

I also found some ribs and vertebrae. The rest has been carried off by animals...

Squirrels (and other animals) like chewing on the bones to get the extra calcium...

Holy moly, that's an impressive looking shelter you put together... how long did it take you?

Ya, the shelter was pretty cool. I was thinking lean to and you guys did wigwam.

No offense but why would you edit your face out? You're covered in identifiable tatts.

Cool pics.

Cool pictures, like the shelter frame.

Not necessarily...he may be one of a set of quintuplet brothers who all have the same tattoos but different colored eyes...

Actually I was wondering the same thing.

Because they don't make tattoo recognition software. The human face and its characteristics are much more notable than the tat's.

I don't care much about tattoos being shown in photos since they're normally covered up with either clothes or Tattoo Camo. However, my face is always showing in the "real world".
