I took about a three hour walk yesterday with my dog. I needed to take a break from working in the shop.. This area is usually gets a lot of people in the summer but it was a cloudy and drizzly day so there was hardly anybody there. It was a really nice day for me and my dog...

Great pics and pretty dog! Thanks for sharing.

What's the pup's name?

Nice pics Ray. It would be need to introduce your dog to its lost twin here in Canada...

Thanks! His name is Bear. He's almost 10 years old and I've had him since he was small enough to fit in my hand. He loves to hike and he hasn't slowed down even though he's kind of old.

Sure is beautiful over there.

Great looking dog as well.

Thanks for sharing!

Great pics Ray but you should know that you are not allowed to post without some pics of your awesome knife work included !!!

I got me a new Laconico in the mail today.:D I guess I can just look at the pics, and hold my knife.:p

This is at the Kaweah river just outside of Sequoia NP. I don't actually get to own any of the knives that I make. I try but so far I've had to sell them all to pay the bills:grumpy: I don't want to get a real job so that's just the way it's going to be..
On this day I carried a CS Voyager XL and SAK huntsman. Maybe j williams can post pics of his new knife. :D

Aw crap Steve, my camera is broke. I got a HWK+ with a 4.25in blade, and one of Rays freakin amazing Kydex sheaths. I think I found "the one" is all I can say.

I have a camera phone, but can anyone tell me how to upload pics from it????

I seem to remember you saying recently that you were keeping one. Did you sell it too?
Great looking dog btw.
Thanks for sharing.

Hey, I looked at that spot as we drove by on the way home from South Fork on Saturday! It does get quite crowded in the summer, but this time of the year is a good time to go there.

protourist, I say that sometimes but I always end up selling. Sometimes I use one for a while then clean it up good as new and sell it.:)

lambertiana, I park my truck at the lake where the boat launch is and I walk following the river to Slickrock. It takes me a little over an hour one way. I can only do this when the lake isn't filled with water though..

Are you talking about the boat ramp by the horse creek picnic area? The only other boat ramps are by the dam, and that would be a lot more than an hour walk unless you're superman.

Great pics, I love that river and oyur dog looks like a great companion. I have to tell you though Ray, you really need to own a Laconico knife :D
