A Warning

I was sharpening a kitchen knife and using the samurai hair test to detect the burr and as I was bringing the knife back to the Sharpmaker I cut myself on the back of the ear. Ears BLEED!!!!! So do I win the total moron award? It has stopped bleeding now several hours later. A warning to all who use the samuri hair test: BE CAREFUL!

Who has neck hair? I keep mine shaved off. I'd like to know if my knives reached "hairy" sharp. I'm saving my arm and leg hair for "scary" sharp.

And the test isn't shaving neck hair it is running the blade from spine to edge along the hair on the back of your head, if it catches on one side of the blade it has a burr.
