Hello to all! My name is Jeff and I have been around the boards for awhile, but haven't actually contributed to any topics in long enough that I forgot my logon info and also what email addy I would have used then. Gadgets and Gear is the area I frequent mostly and have gotten a lot of really great info checking in and reading your posts from time to time.

Anyway, my question is where would one go about looking for an Oyster style bracelet for a Seiko Automatic Diver? I love the watch and it is kind of my EDC in the watch catagory, but I just don't care for the bracelet that came with it much. I am not sure if what I am invisioning actually exists, but I knew if it did you guys would know where to point me. If it doesn't, anything that doesn't have the rolled links like the one that comes with it does and that has some heft to it would work as well!

Thanks in advance for any help and once again hello. I look forward to joining in as often as I can squeeze in the time and/or have something of worth to contribute!

Jeff

There is a website that deals only in bands. I can't find the address, you might check knifeforums.com in the Watches and Other Interesting Devices forum.

has one made specifically for it... not that others won't fit it, but it has a factory bracelet that could be had for cheap (about 30 or 40 bucks US)...

check out WWW.Watchbands.com

Seiko Bands @ Watchbands.com
http://www.wristwatch.com/indices.asp?pid=52333

or you can out a WTB (want to buy) ad on the Timezone.com sales corner section or the PX at Broadarrow.net

You can also check your local Seiko authorized dealer as I'm sure they may have one or two sitting around (a spare bracelet or strap is not that uncommon a thing for people to buy)

for sure post on timezone.

i know one company makes rolex oyster and presidential style bands for sieko divers watches, SS, i was gonna get one a while back, and got my GMT master instead, used to have the addy, but lost it when my PC crashed a while back.

they looked pretty darned good, and were about $60 if memory serves (the pres. style in SS)

again, try timezone.....i was gonna get one because my rubber (?) band broke and a new one from sieko was like $50 or so, was gonna try the SS, instead, i went ahead and bit the bullet and bought a genuine seiko replacement band for my divers, was about $50, almost wish i woulda tried the other, but i never where the thing now anyway lol, a great watch though imho
