A week around Lake Mary, AZ

Just got back and couldn't wait to let you all in on my trip!

First, dog hurt herself, bad. Jumping over a log she snagged herself and opened a 4 inch wound that went deep. Brought her into Flagstaff about 40 minutes from where we were as it was the closest place to get help. She got a bunch of stitches, then 4 days later they opened back up, they had to do staples instead. I hated it, I love my dog so much, so was in alot of pain. She lives however, and here she is:

Looks like garter or ribbon snake. Lives around water mostly feeds on small insects and such. I use to have a couple as pets when i was a kid. fed them worms and minnows. I would take it swimming with me in an above ground pool ( non chlorine) drop in some minnows and watch it go crazy!! Some really tame snakes. I have also had pythons, corns, boas, milks and such too... Garters/ribbons and corns were always my favorites. I stopped caring for snakes when one of my pythons almost removed a finger during feeding time.... Left a good scar.

It's actually on it's last leg. Auto focus is pissing me off when objects are real close.

^ It does, but it's not focusing like it should. I noticed a gradual decline in quality of pictures as the trip went on. Camera is only 2 years old
