I'm proud of my progress and thought you guys would enjoy the pics. The hollow ground ones are my first of that style, I haven't done any hollow grinding before. I'm on finished knife #22 so far, if I get all these done I'll have 38!

Here's last weeks grinding. These are all pre heat treat and still need holes and a little more grinding before hardening. I still need to cut a couple of choils in and pull back the grind on one of the harpoon tips... wavy ricasso. Can you tell I was a 1/4" drill bit short this week, darn titanium keeps trashing my bits!

I also finished a titanium necker that I need to take photos of and I started my mini knife for the mini kith. I have a few sheaths in progress and tried my second leather sheath which didn't come out too great, leatherwork is tough! I also managed to screw up another titanium kwaiken, for some reason I can't get the minimalist grind on it down right... a steep chisel which resembles a scandi grind... I may have to resort to a jig for that one.

Specs: Three are Aldo's 1084 in 1/8" (the drop point necker, the one with a swedge, and the simple hollow ground drop point.)

Most of them are about 9" long and are 1/8" O1 steel.

The 3 choppers are 5160 and are a little over a foot long. The "straight razor cleaver" is .360 thick!

Very nice! Some of those grinds are awesome.

Thanks! I have a sheath to make and after that it's almost time to finish them up! One of the choppers is going to a fellow Bladeforums member who also lives here in Colorado, I'm really excited about it!

I just got in some 11 and 28 second quenching oils, time for an even better quenching setup. I have been looking for a couple of 18 quart plug in roasting pans to store and warm the oil.

Daniel,
Very nice stuff buddy!!

I don't know where to start, they all look so good!

The slim cleaver that already has tang holes drilled looks like something somebody I know asked me to make. He does a lot of cooking at a local Elk's Lodge and said he wanted me to make him a cleaver that was shaped kind of like an anvil on the spine so it could stand up to some hammering when halving chickens and whatnot. That knife you made looks beefy enough to stand up to that type of work. Very nice!!!

Busy guy. I like the long wharnies.

Thanks Jonny, you keep me motivated to work hard with the batches you put out. I think the cleaver's spine will take some hammering, it will be differentially hardened and at .360 it could be the hammer!

You're having fun with that KMG aren't you?

I like your creativity. Keep it up.

I am enjoying it quite a lot, I'm lucky to have it and I'm trying to get the most out of it. Thanks!

Busy guy. I like the long wharnies.

Thanks, the wharnies are starting to become a favorite of mine. Seeing guys like you putting out the quality keeps me busy. :D

I have been on a sheath mission all day and just finished up a lined concealex sheath with a belt clip system per customer request... chill time!

Thanks for the kind comments everyone, you guys keep me motivated and your high level of craftsmanship keeps me trying to keep improving.

WHERE IS THE CLEAVAGE!#!$# er cleaver.. yeah I'm not funny. :D

I have cleavage for both hands now. I'll make cleaver #3 for you! I ground out a similar one yesterday in 1/8" 1095, it will be an integral (no scales) with hamon all the way around! I know you though, you need a .360 one! :D

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/855750-Another-.360-Chopper! Numero dos.

Second chopper above the straight razor..... I NEED!

Very nice!

Thanks! It is spoken for but I can always make another. I made that chopper style for the first knife I sold and now I'm on variation #6, I like making that style of chopper.

Here's what I did yesterday, cleaned up and heat treated the O1 Knives in the batch. I also ground a few more but didn't get it all on film. How come drilling goes great all day but I can't drill on camera!
