I have been without a quality modern folder since thanksgiving. I gave away a few in the PIF saga and later had to sell the rest after some unforseen bills. Then came the birth of my Son and the bills that go along with it.

Well we are finally starting to see daylight and I just won a used Buck Vantage Pro on the bay for $27 shipped. It's not my PM2 or ZT 560 but it is a quality chunk of S30V in my pocket. I have been getting by with a fake XM-18 I found in the parking lot of the last gun show. I literally have to sharpen it every other day! Hopefully I can save enough to replace my PM2 by next month.

Enough rambling, I just wanted to share my excitement.

Dude, that's awesome! Congrats on that. I'm really happy for you and to hear of the birth of your son.

I totally get your excitement and I'm glad you shared man!

Congrats! On the knife, but more importantly your little boy. Soak it up man, they grow soooo fast!

Thanks guys. Yeah, he's 4 months old and growing like a weed! Looking at a picture my sent me last night while I was working and one I took the day he was born, it's like looking at two different kids.

Our income taxes got us pretty much squared away. We only have a couple of accounts still outstanding before we are debt free. I sold a spare holster I had laying around last week and we didn't really need the money elsewhere so I left it in my pp account intending to save up for another PM2. I just happened across the auction last night and the seller had it poorly advertised. The listing title was "knife" and the description just said "buck with s30v blade, great knife." I was the only bidder and got it for the starting price of $25 plus shipping.

Haha that's nuts! Definitely a steal on that steel. Get it? Get it? I hope you get that PM2 soon enough, brother.

Unlike all of our other money sucking hobbies, the kids are worth the investment in money, and more importantly, TIME!

Savor every moment, because it goes by faster than you can believe.

And congrats on the new blade. I've had one for a couple of years, and it impresses me still.

Selling blades to pay unexpected expenses is never a good thing -- but glad to hear you found something that'll get you by until you can replace them.

Yeah, at least it was just my knives. They are cheaper and easier to replace than my guns! LoL
