Here are a couple that I finished up and will be shipping out tomorrow. They are both forged 1084 blades. The wharnie handle is a multicolored piece of micarta and the bird and trout has sambar stag for the handle. I put the dollar bill in the photo to give an illistration of the size of the knives. Thanks for looking.

I believe it is old stag. I think I saw the stag piece before it was put on a knife. Great looking knives, Craig!

The stag is an old piece. It was very dark when I started working it and as I sanded the rich amber tones began to emerge.

I know where these two are going...:D
Yep Danbo, you've seen this piece of stag in it's infancy. The wharnie has burgundy/black micarta slabs. It should be interesting to see how they turned out. Just like Christmas in July!

C-Camerer, man, great job. I simply love that bird & trout!! That stag handle has great color. Drool.!!!!

Yeah there is a buttcap. It is secured to the tang of the knife via a silver brazed nut. I'm glad you like them Mongo! Thanks everyone.

"and will be shipping out tomorrow"

Still remember my mailing address? :D Sorry, Mongo, but I have bribed the Postal workers, and these are going to be re-routed! BWAHAHAHAHA!

Just kidding, Mongo. You lucky dog! :)

Both knives look great. And to top it off, you have a side-by-side comparo of "THE CLASSIC AND THE TRENDY TACTICAL" right there. I back up what everyone has said about the stag - haven't seen too many like that. Jason.

Very nice work as always Craig. That B/T is particularly sweet - love that stag! And congrats Mongo!

Cheers,

Roger

I figured that I need to post a "first impressions" type thread on these two. I got back from my continuing ed trip two days ago and these babies were waiting for me. The colors on the stag are simply amazing! Very rich tones and nice texture on this one. The handle is a little short for my hands, but since this knife is going to my wife, it should be perfect. She coveted my first Camerer bird and trout, so I know she will love it. It came with a nice pouch sheath with a dangler clip on it. All in all, a very handsome knife and sheath package. Oh yeah, it is sharper than heck too!
The wharnie is a similar variation on the "Crowfoot" theme. The scales are a burgundy/black micarta with two mosaic pins. The color is very subtle and fascinating to look at. Craig provided a kydex sheath with a mini-teclok. I have been experimenting with it on various belt locations as well as a neck knife. I've carried it two days now and have done some light utility cutting, and of course it too is sharp as heck. It is also small enough that I can slip the knife/sheath down into my pocket.
Both knives are 1084 forged and have nice even grinds and great fit and finish. I whole-heartedly recommend Mr. Camerer to anyone who will listen. He's a nice guy and a heck of a knife maker. As of right now, I have 4 of his creations, which is a majority in my humble collection. All of them are users, as they should be. Don't worry Craig... I ain't done with you yet! I really liked that D-handle bowie I saw last year... hmmmmm.

Thanks for putting up with my ramble,
Mongo

This was the first time I used the tek-loks and I have to say that I am impressed with them. The carry options that they allow are unreal. Do you mean this bowie? :D

That sure is one beautiful bowie. Is this the one I saw at the AECA show last year? I think it had won an award at a prior show and was going to it's owner at that show. Nice sheath too by the way.
