I've been kind of remiss in posting up the tomahawks that have left my shop. Here's some of 'em.

15" War Chief, sharpened inner beard, TeroTuf handles.

12" Wrecker, sharpened inner beard, Micarta handles.

The pair of them in comparison, with a Benghazi Warfighter to boot.

A pair of 12" War Chiefs with TeroTuf. They weren't going to the same customer, but I thought that made a nice shot of them. :)

A 15" Wrecker with tan Durabake and black TeroTuf.

A 12" Woodsman, sharpened inner beard, in olive drab.

A 15" Wrecker

An 18" War Chief, sharpened inner beard, in olive drab.

An 18" Woodsman.

And finally, a 15" War chief, sharpened inner beard, in black.

Whew! That's a lot of work! Still more I'll post later.

Very nice. Whats the difference between a wrecker and war chief?

Thanks,
Alex

Very nice, James. What do you see as the advantage of the Tero Tuff over canvas Micarta?

Thanks, guys!

Amurr - The spikes have different designs for different purposes. It's a common question, so I included it here: http://helmgrind.blogspot.com/2013/07/tomahawk-stats.html

JDM61 - TeroTuf and Micarta are similar in concept in that they're stacked up layers of cloth impregnated with a resin that hardens. In the case of TeroTuf, the cloth and resin are both polyester. It's tougher than Micarta (will flex a lot further before breaking), and is grippier. It's got a bit of "hairiness" to it the way I finish it, with the tiny ends of the cloth weave grabbing your fingerprints. But it's not rough; it feels softer than the canvas Micarta.

Tougher, grippier, more comfortable to the feel.

As an added bonus for me, it's less toxic when shaping it in the shop. :)
