Many here know David's incredible work

He has a style that is all his own

It is a blend of ancient materials mixed with modern materials that when combined gives an organic timeless approach to one of mans oldest endeavors

David took inspiration from another one of my knife making friends the great Jason Knight

Seems David was hanging out with the great metal masher and something rubbed off

This is one of David's first goes at a Harpoon style blade and IMHo he really knocked it out of the park

David's work can be identified across the room and when your dealing with one of mans oldest tools to be able to make standout pieces is in my opinion one of the greatest feats a maker can strive for

This piece is right in time for Blades Best Bowie Contest

Here you go with the specs

The blade is 11 3/4" damascus

damascus guard

carbon fiber wrap over ancient walrus ivory

16 3/4" OAL

He is working on a sheath... Carbon fiber over Alaskan yellow cedar...

this is an uber sweet knife. I especially enjoy the lack of ricasso, I think this choice really adds flow.
I only met David once, and I hope to again this April. Cool guy. The kind of dude I think would be fun to work with.

David's work makes EVERYONE pull their chair in a little closer.

What a lucky owner!

Ha! I'd take damn near anything that David would make a Brother.... ;)

I like David a bunch! Like a wayward son to me………but I'm a little suspicious of the strength of his handles. Seems like nearly every one has to be reenforced with a paracord stabilizing wrap;)

Here is a better pic showing the Damascus on the Kwaiken I picked up :)
