Sorry that I have been missing from the Forum for the past couple of weeks! We have had some interesting and very time consuming things going on! What began as a simple upgrade of our computer network, ended up(at least I hope it has ended!) lasting over two weeks - hung computers, crashed computers, slow computers - we have had them all. It seems to be the result of a conflict with our accounting program and the fellow who has done the upgrade for us has been excellent but..#*#*%!*@#* it has been frustrating. The result of this is that my work days flashed by with minimum work being accomplished. Then my home computer got attacked by a virus (it got right through Norton) which meant that I couldn't carry on at home what I was missing at work till that was sorted out. I am calm now but stressed has been the order of the day in my life recently!!!

Then a week ago, we had a rather surprise parting of the ways with our workshop foreman, Scott Cook. The details are not relevant here and we part in friendship. The nitty gritty of it, though, is that we have had a hard look at how we do things and just who does what. We are working on some re-structuring, changing the way we do things and re-assigning of duties.

Please bear with us a we work our way through the immediate changes - and there will be more to come. You can be assured, though, that the quality of our work will not be compromised, the knives will still be made with painstaking care and our service will still be tops!

I have rather whistled through the posts of the past few weeks and I hope I didn't miss any questions - if I have, please put them up on the top of the list again!

So is the rumour that you are taking up "rodeo" and/or professional rollercoaster riding true ?

anne and chris....sorry to hear of your computer woes as well as the loss of scott cook as your foreman in the shop....he will be missed as his milling skills on the unique graphics i have seen and handled are simply incredible...i am sure with a little tincture of time all will be well again...the two articles in BLADE MAGAZINE were great and i hope that ya'll keep forging ahead as crk makes the best folders in the industry bar none (the fixed blades are awesome also!)...take care of yourselves and the small things will take care of themselves.....feverdoc

Best of luck to you, Anne and Chris. 'Doc is right...a little time and all will smooth out.

Anne, just curious, was it just Scott that was doing the design work on the Sebenza's? I know Chris himself started it way back when and passed his skill on to Scott. But now that Mr. Cook is gone, will Chris go back to doing the free hand decorating? I know your family of employees are very talented, but being that I have one of your classic silver sebbies due soon, I was just curious as to who might be doing the design work on it. Thanks and glad to hear your computer problem was solved.

As we restructure things, Chris is doing some of the decorating. Bryan has been doing some as well and we are training Lisa.
Each person has their own style and ideas and I know we will be producing many more beautiful graphics. Rob, I am not exactly sure who will do the work on your knife but it will be Chris or Bryan.
