Okay - So - I have had a thought.

I want to work through a survival book (I am thinking of using Les Stroud's book: "Survival") for this experiment - and Blog about this experience.

Work through every thing in the book - one thing at a time - and talk about how it went. Should take a year - but would be fun I think.

What do you guys think? Worthwhile? Different book? Thoughts?

Yes! I await your blog sir.
(If I didn't work and hang out here so much, I might do something similar.).

thought about that once, but using the SAS manual. alot of stuff out there is hard to do exactly how they say it is done

Not a bad Idea at all, I had a similar thought, but just haven't had the chance.

Go for it!

Really, really nice idea! I don't know that it has ever been done before. I'd like to follow along, too.

Sounds like a great idea

I've been meaning to get his book since it came out, and now I have a good reason to :D

Sounds like something I would enjoy reading, so I suggest you get started! :D

Okay - I had an alternate idea that I think is going to work. I am going to do year on this project culminating in a week in a trek next summer to test all my skills.

I am not going to follow one book - but take parts from books that others have commented are superior. This way I can add a section on choosing books and book reviews to my blog.

I don't think any of us have stuck to one book and I think that I can add more depth to my posts this way.

It should be fun.

I have a blog already set up and when I get going I will post it up.
